Submitted to BGH means that I have read, acknowledged, and agreed to the following:
The manuscript or work submitted to BGH is original and the submitter of the work is the proprietor or partial proprietor having attained consent of the other coauthors and contributors to submit this work on their behalf. It is the onus of the submitter to properly acknowledge all creators of this work.
The work that I submit has not previously been published elsewhere. Exceptions only include Photos published on authors’ personal websites or personal social media accounts.
BGH reserves the right to refuse publishing work that it finds derogatory, sexist, racist, harmful or slanderous, etc.
There is no compensation for BGH to use the work received and accepted through the submission process, unless otherwise specified.
BGH has the right to edit, duplicate and publish the creative work on their website and/or anthology. The work may also be used for promotional purposes in any type of media to reach a broader audience.
The submitter will retain all rights to their original work post-publication. If creative work is submitted and published elsewhere, BGH will be credited as the original publisher.
If works are published through BGH, the name or list of names associated with the work will also be included.
If submitting as part of team, it is assumed that all team members have consented and acknowledge these terms of agreement.
All works submitted must follow ethical guidelines and protect the confidentiality of all subject matter if referencing global health research findings. This includes names and other identifiers.
Limit 1 submission per entry, maximum of 3 entries. Poetry is limited to 1 page in length; prose word limit is 2500. For artwork and photography, please ensure images are high resolution (maximum 5MB).
We, at BGH, believe strongly in respecting the privacy and dignity of humanity while still being able to provide a platform for critical and public engagement. Providing a safe space for these stories to be collectively shared (in poetry, prose, photography, and art) is crucial to the project’s mission.
